Handwoven in the Philippines, Abaca is a premium and extremely resilient natural fibre with a luxurious satin-like sheen. Abaca rugs offer a much longer lifespan than many inexpensive alternatives.
We chose the finest producer of abaca yarn with a superb team of weavers to turn this incredible material into stunning contemporary rugs.
Our mission is to combine design excellence with the highest standards of sustainability, respect for the environment and the craftspeople involved.
Made from banana leaves, it can be woven in any thickness from 10mm to 44mm and dyed in any Pantone colour.
VERSATILITY
We want to change the perception of natural fibre rugs by the design world. We want to show that abaca can be at home in a Mediterranean villa, a Belgravia townhouse or a Manhattan loft.
Nature has given us all the tools since abaca’s natural colouring ranges from ebony to almost snow white with everything in between. And if that isn’t enough, the fibre can be dyed in any colour imaginable.
